Tea Cosy Town

t was one of those experiences that are sort of like A-HA!!
In this case we were staying in an authentic old inn, I think it was in Burton-on-the-Water. Strolling past yet more old houses that look like Masterpiece Theatre settings, I was struck by the comfort the scene brings to one. The houses are the perfect scale to view and don’t intrude on the landscape.
The town green gives one pace to stand back and view them, and congregate to people watch, or even duck watch.
The whole is really like a knitted tea cosy that perfectly fits the teapot.
I still feel that I was in the center of a warm welcome.
